The Global Connections for Women foundation (GC4W) celebrates International Women’s Day on March 7th 2014 at the world renowned Harvard Club of New York City in the United States.
The International Women’s Day celebrates the social, political and economic achievements of women, while focusing the world’s attention on areas requiring further action.
The Global Connections for Women foundation (GC4W) is undertaking the important task of celebrating the accomplishments of international women leaders and global women champions, whose remarkable efforts has made a tremendous impact on the economic growth and advancement of women today.
The Honorable Chair of Global Connections for Women foundation, Chief Temitope Ajayi (Mama Diaspora), the GC4W Founder/CEO, Ambassador Lilian O. Ajayi and the GC4W foundation will award several prominent and distinguished international women leaders for their commitment to women empowerment and leadership in advancing gender equality in their community.
The list of “GC4W Global Women Champion Award” honorees include prominent global women leaders, Nobel Peace Laureate, Ambassadors, CEOs, NGO leaders, Government officials, Magazine Editors, GC4W Champions, and several others.
The purpose of this award is to recognize, celebrate and encourage the noble work of these exemplary women leaders – who are committed to the global advancement of women and continue to make a significant impact in the lives of others.
Established in 2012, the Global Connections for Women foundation (GC4W) was created in direct response to the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and established to support women and youth in underserved communities across the globe.
The GC4W foundation was founded under the auspice that making a difference in the lives of others is indeed meaningful, worthwhile and deserving of the attention from those who are able to make an impact in this world. Our goal is to enrich and empower the lives of 100 thousand Women and Youth by end of 2015.
In preparation of the International Women’s Day and the launch of Global Connections for Women foundation (GC4W) chapter in Abuja. GC4W has partnered with the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) – Director of Women Affairs, Haija Maryam Mohammed to distribute “Goodluck Nigeria” Notebooks to primary school students in Abuja, Nigeria. The notebooks will be presented by the GC4W Founder/CEO, Ambassador Lilian O. Ajayi along with the GC4W Honorable Chair, Chief Temitope Ajayi (Mama Diaspora).
The GC4W International Women’s Day Gala will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2014 at 7pm at the world renowned Harvard Club of New York City in United States.
