As you may already know, the Global Connections for Women Foundation is an award-winning non-profit organization that believes in all women and girls – and their rights to create new opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Inspired by real-life examples and our ongoing global commitment, women and girls in underserved communities around the world will be encouraged to find their voice, and equipped with the resources they need to feel connected, educated and empowered.
Although we strive to help women around the world through our many outreach programs, including leadership talks, health education, job search assistance, and fundraising events, we also wish to help support our community through your contributions to a specific GC4W Cause. GC4W is accepting donations (of any value) for important projects and scholarships for women and girls around the globe.
Here are the three causes for which we are currently accepting donations, and we would appreciate your support towards one or more of these causes. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of women and girls around the globe.

With your charitable contributions to the GC4W Entrepreneur Scholarship for Millennials Campaign, the Global Connections for Women will be able to provide scholarships to deserving entrepreneurs who seek financial support to bring their business ideas to scale. For several years now, reports from the Center for International Enterprise and Harvard Business Review, business experts have all agreed that the world needs to support the development of women entrepreneurs. Studies are showing that when women gain access to their own financial freedom, they are lifted out of poverty, their children become healthier, and the overall economic status of a country significantly improves.
With only seven countries in the world where men and women own businesses at an equal rate, we need to work towards increasing the number of women entreprenuers that exists around the world. 3. Donate to the GC4W STEM College Scholarship for Women & Girls
With your charitable contributions to the GC4W STEM College Scholarship for Women & Girls Campaign, the Global Connections for Women will be able to provide scholarships to deserving women and girls, who are looking to study S.T.E.M at a reputable and accredited university. The STEM fields—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—has a significantly low representation of women, and the numbers continue to see no significant growth over the last decade. As reported by the U.S. Department of Commerce, for every seven engineers there is one female, and zero employment growth for women in STEM since 2000.
Additionally, it was noted in the report that women in STEM jobs earned “33 percent” more than women in non-STEM jobs, and considerably higher than men in STEM. Therefore, the Gender Wage gap is much smaller in STEM jobs than in non-STEM jobs, providing more a unique opportunity for women and girls to thrive in STEM. However, with only 30% of women in STEM, we encourage you to take the necessary actions to ensure that more women and girls are not only taking up a major in STEM but that they continue to pursue careers in STEM. The findings in the report is a huge win for women and girls in the fight for Gender Equality provided we continue to encourage women and girls to take careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
