It is very tempting it is to spend your daily commute scrolling through Facebook and then Instagram and then Pinterest and then Facebook again. But your daily commute is actually a perfect time to develop yourself into the woman you want to become!

Below is a list of 5 different activities successful women do on their daily commute. Try to pick just one of these and start incorporating it into your daily commute straight away.

MEDITATE

Successful women use their daily commute to get centered and focused – and meditating is the perfect way to do it. The good news is you don’t need to be somewhere private to meditate or even somewhere quiet! When you’re on your daily commute just set a timer (start with 3-5 minutes), close your eyes (unless you’re driving!) and simply pay attention to the sounds around you and the sensations in your body. Remember, the goal isn’t to stop thinking – it’s simply to practice focusing. This means the more your mind wanders, the more practice you’ll get!

READ A BOOK

If you’ve been wanting to read more but struggle to do it at the end of the day, your daily commute is the perfect time to do it. Successful women use their daily commute to read books. And if you walk, cycle or drive to work, you can always listen to a book using Audible!

LISTEN TO A PODCAST

Successful women use their daily commute to learn, and listening to a podcast is one of the easiest ways to do it. Not only are podcasts completely free, but there are also so many incredible podcasts available that you’re bound to find at least one that will teach you exactly.

WORK ON THEIR SIDE HUSTLE

Successful women use their daily commute to work on their own projects.  That extra hour a day of work made all the difference! If you’re blessed (yes, blessed!) with a longer commute, it’s the perfect time to work on your side hustle – whether that’s blogging, writing, an Etsy shop or something else entirely.

ORGANIZE THEIR DAY

Successful women stay organized and using their daily commute is the perfect time to do it! I always think one of the most important aspects of staying organized is keeping yourself out of overwhelm, indecision and confusion. Create a habit of taking your to-do lists and prioritizing them. Once you have your to-do list in order of priority, write down everything you will need to do in order to tick that item off your list and schedule each of those items in your calendar.
