NYC Commission on Gender Equity releases the 2018 – 2021 Strategic Plan of Advancing Gender Equity in New York City – announces the Commission’s goals and strategies to advance gender equity in New York City through the remainder of the de Blasio administration. The plan also identifies lead initiatives which will be the initial programmatic focus of each strategy.
The Strategic plan also introduces the City’s first-ever Gender Equity Inter-Agency Partnership, aimed at helping develop an integrated and sustainable approach to achieving gender equity in NYC. About Gender Equity Summit: The NYC Commission on Gender Equity (CGE) is going to all five boroughs to engage and mobilize New Yorkers of all gender identities, gender expressions, and backgrounds as we work to advance gender equity in NYC.
Participants will discuss in small groups how to help CGE identify ways to:
- Involve men and youth in the fight to advance gender equity
- Ensure greater gender diversity at all levels of public service
- Prevent, reduce, eliminate gender-based violence in all communities
