Yara Shahidi is an American actress, model, and activist best known for her starring role as the oldest daughter Zoey Johnson in the comedy Black-ish and its spinoff Grown-ish. She signed with Women Management modeling agency in 2016 in hopes of raising the number of women of color in diverse roles and has since continued to empower women and promote self-love through fashion and body positivity. Additionally, Shadhidi’s following has allowed her to share her political beliefs and founded Eighteen x 18 with social news publisher NowThis. Eighteen x 18 is a creative platform to engage the youth to be involved in politics and vote. Q: What advice do you have for young women who might not see their own potential?
