Emily Weiss is the founder and current CEO of the beauty company, Glossier. Founded in 2014, Glossier has expanded its social and online name, while also opening stores in popular locations, including New York City. After graduating from New York University in 2007, Weiss began the site, Into the Gloss. After attracting millions of readers, she ventured into the product industry, creating her own beauty line, which became known as Glossier. The company has also branched into clothing, launching GlossiWEAR, with more launches expecting to occur soon.

A: “I read this, so I suppose it wasn’t given to me, but my best piece of advice is: Know what you don’t know. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you are in different areas and learn from them. There’s no need to ever pretend like you know it all.”
