Angela Bassett has consistently set a shining example for women in Hollywood throughout the course of her career and she has a few words of advice for those who may be aiming to follow in her footsteps.

“If there’s nothing else that you can envision yourself doing, then you go for it,” she said. “Continue to learn and to grow. Watch others work, appreciate the work of others and when you walk into the room, know that you have everything they’re looking for.”

A proud wife, mother and Hollywood icon who has embodied a rare standard of excellence in both her personal and professional life that continues to inspire a new generation, the “Queen Mutha” also employed young women to always give it their best effort.
