Are you a young global leader? Ever dream of attending an event at the United Nations? Want to be surrounded by likeminded individuals, who believe they can shape our world?

If this is you, then become a #FiveforFive Champion for a chance to be our Guest at the upcoming Youth Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters in New York (August, 2015).

WHAT IS THE YOUTH ASSEMBLY?

The Youth Assembly at the United Nations (YA@UN) is a unique platform created to foster dialogue and generate partnerships between exceptional youth, UN high officials and staff, private sector, and civil society. The Youth Assembly is committed to empowering youth to become active participants in the success of the UN Millennium Development Goals and the transition to the Post 2015 Development Agenda.

    • Program: Summer YA 2015 – 3 Full Days at the United Nations Headquarters, NYC, USA; Resolution Project new Social Venture Awards through Competitions for University-level Delegates, more. The 2015 Summer Youth Assembly at the UN has, as its Lead Endorser, the Permanent Mission of Romania; the Host is Her Excellency Simona Miculescu, Ambassador from Romania to the United Nations.
    • Eligibility: Youth Leaders and those who wish to become leaders, ages 16-28+
    • A  3-day Conference: August 5, 6 & 7 2015

WHY THE YOUTH ASSEMBLY?

At Global Connections for Women Foundation (GC4W), it is part of our mission to connect, educate, and empower our youth to create and inspire change across the globe. The Youth Assembly is the place to be to promote youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and leadership among the youth of our world. We want to inspire you to be the change you want to see in the world, this #FiveforFive Contest is a great way to showcase your compassion for those less fortunate and to help make a real difference in the lives of the Disabled girls in Karamajiji (Nigeria).

We know what you’re capable of, and so does our pathway partner, The Resolution Project. The Resolution Project has joined forces with The Youth Assembly to encourage young leaders to make a difference, today and tomorrow, through the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals.

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST? 

Our goal is to empower YOU to make a real difference in the world.  

Here’s Your Challenge:

    1. Become a #FiveforFive Champion and help us draw global attention to the New School Project.
    2. Start your #FiveforFive Fundraiser campaign on GC4W’s Classy CrowdFunding page to bring an education and clean water to Disabled Girls in Karamajiji (Nigeria):
      • Click on the “Become a Fundraiser” link
      • Log in with your Facebook or add your e-mail address to begin
      • Add a caption to your page title:
        • Suggested caption: “Support me as a GC4W #FiveforFive Champion, by donating to the GC4W campaign to bring an education to Disabled Girls in Karamajiji (Nigeria).”
      • Save and alert your family and friends of your GC4W #FiveforFive fundraiser campaign.
    3. Be the first person to get up to 100 people to donate to your GC4W #FiveforFive campaign, and you get to be our Guest at the Youth Assembly 3 days conference at the United Nations Headquarter in New York.

Important rules and guidelines: 

  • You must be between ages 16-28 to be eligible for this contest. 
  • You must reside in New York Metro area to be eligible for this contest. 
  • The contest ends on July 15th at midnight.
  • The winner will be announced on Friday, July 17th at 10 AM.
