She also appeared on ads, magazine covers, and runways for companies such as Glamour, Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan, Sprite, Swarovski, Ebony, London Fashion Week, and Victoria’s Secret. As her following within the modeling industry grew, Harlow began utilizing her presence in the media in order to discuss her skin condition vitiligo and the impact it has had on her life. Harlow has promoted self-love through her daily positive affirmations and her public embracing of differences, changing the standard of beauty among women.
Q. How did you overcome being bullied as a child?
A. Dropping out of high school was possibly the best thing that could have happened, because I found a rejuvenated sense of self. I learned to love who I am despite what anyone would say about or to me. This gave me the courage to really stand up to anyone or any obstacle in my life.
